Menno Witteveen

Menno is a co-founder of DIF. He had previously founded Koopman & Witteveen NV (KW) in 1989 with Maarten Koopman. Together, they received the backing of private equity investors to work on the buy-and-build of global, market-leading industrial company DTG, eventually selling the entity in 2002. Prior to KW, Menno worked in various departments of AMRO Bank, predecessor of ABN Amro Bank N.V., in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, London and The Hague. He holds a Master’s and PhD degree in History from the University of Leiden.

Maarten Koopman

Maarten is a co-founder of DIF. He had previously founded Koopman & Witteveen NV (KW) in 1989 together with Menno Witteveen. Backed by private equity investors, they focused on creating global, market-leading industrial company DTG through a buy-and-build strategy before finally selling in 2002. Prior to KW, Maarten worked at the ABN Bank, the predecessor of ABN Amro Bank N.V., where he held several placements in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Hong Kong. He holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Groningen.
