Schiphol, 8 September 2016 – DIF has hired Willem Jansonius as Partner to lead its new core infrastructure strategy.

DIF is pleased to announce the appointment of Willem Jansonius as Partner in its Schiphol office. Willem will be leading DIF’s new core infrastructure activities. Prior to DIF, Willem was a Managing Director and head of Benelux and Nordics at Macquarie Capital, where he was responsible for the infrastructure advisory and principal activities for 7 years. Before that he was the head of the private equity fund at Cyrte Investments and he worked for nine years at ABN AMRO Corporate Finance in Amsterdam and London, where he was involved in infrastructure M&A transactions. During his career he has led a wide range of international infrastructure transactions in the energy & utilities, telecom and transportation sectors. Willem has a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Utrecht University and a Master’s degree in Finance from Nyenrode University in The Netherlands.

DIF’s new core infrastructure investment strategy will target smaller and midsized infrastructure projects that are clearly outside of the mandates of DIF’s existing funds, targeting mainly the energy & utility, telecom and transportation sectors.
