DIF Infrastructure II was launched in October 2008 and reached a final closing in July 2010. The fund invests in PPP/PFI and renewable energy projects in Western Europe that offer long-term stable cash-flows with minimal commercial risk. The committed capital is € 572 million, which exceeded the target of € 500 million.
DIF Infrastructure II has made 59 investments. The PPP/PFI investments are into health, education, road, government and court accommodation projects. Its renewable energy investments are in onshore wind and solar PV projects. The investments are located in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands and Denmark.
The fund is fully invested, and the focus is on managing the assets and optimising the portfolio. Three onshore wind projects have been sold in 2011 and six PPP projects in 2014.
