Senior-ranking acquisition financing loans with a Benelux focus
The DIF Private Debt Fund targets non-investment grade, senior-ranking acquisition financing loans, which are often used to finance private equity led M&A transactions. The Fund will lend across a wide range of sectors predominantly in the Benelux and certain other Western European countries.
The Fund will focus on direct lending via predominantly stretched senior and unitranche loans in the lower mid-market, where competition from both banks and private lenders is considered to be significantly lower.

Hugo Peek Head of Private Debt
“DIF’s Private Debt Fund will be the first Benelux-based mid-market direct lending fund. Direct lending to mid-market borrowers in the region represent an attractive investment class with strong return potential. These loans generally earn an illiquidity premium compared to non-investment grade public debt, while at the same time benefitting from greater security and covenants.”
